Title: What's New in 6.12
You can start an internet session from within a SAS Display Manager
Session in several ways. The following text is from SAS v6.12 pc online
help.
- Enter a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) at the SAS command bar. SAS
will launch the browser that your windows registry associates with
URLs.
- Click the browse tool bar button (picture of earth), which
will launch the browser with SAS Institute's home page. You can change
the URL that the Browser button invokes by specifying a URL on the
WBROWSE command in the Tool Editor.
- Enter the wbrowse command, which will launch which will launch
the browser with SAS Institute's home page.
HTML Editing tools are macros that will turn output and data
sets into html files. They are available from the Institute web
site. Other tools are being developed that will format graphs and tabulate
output into html pages, also.
The SAS data viewer is included in version 6.12 and is also available from
the Institute web site. No license is required to use the viewer and it may be
distributed freely. With the viewer, you can look at SAS data sets without
licensing the SAS software.
New Program Editor Features:
- To select a word: double click
- To select a column: alt click at top left and bottom
right
- To select a line: ctrl click click
- Importing files from spreadsheets: file --> import
