SAS FAQ: Out of Memory message when running SAS under UNIX
System: UNIX version 6.09, 6.12
Some users may experience an "Out of Memory" message when
running large SAS jobs or statistical procedures. Setting
the memsize to 0 should fix the problem. You can specify
the memsize when you invoke SAS.
sas -memsize 0M mypgm.sas (where mypgm.sas is the name of the
SAS program that you are submitting)
The value of 0 for memsize will allow SAS to get as much
memory as the system will allow.
