Required Course Work

In addition to the core courses, the following courses are required.

  • GN 703: Population and Quantitative Genetics
  • 6 hours of Statistics electives. Suggested electives are

    • ST/GN 756: Computational Molecular Evolution
    • ST/GN 757: Statistical Methods of Mapping Quantitative Trait Loci
    • ST/GN 770: Statistical Concepts in Genetics
    • ST 785: Introduction to Statistical Decision Theory
  • 9 hours of supporting electives. Suggested electives are
    • GN 411: Principles of Genetics if needed.
    • GN/ANS 713: Quantitative Genetics and Breeding
    • GN 701: Molecular Genetics
