- ST 750: Statistical Computing
- ST/GN 756: Computational Molecular Evolution
- ST/GN 757: Statistical Methods of Mapping Quantitative Trait Loci
- ST/GN 770: Statistical Concepts in Genetics
- ST 785: Introduction to Statistical Decision Theory
- 9 hours of supporting electives. Suggested electives are
- GN 411: Principles of Genetics if needed.
- GN/ANS 713: Quantitative Genetics and Breeding
- GN 701: Molecular Genetics
- GN 702: Cellular and Developmental Genetics
- BMA 576, 771, 772 and 773.
Additional Notes on Course Work
Two required courses (ST/GN 721 and GN 703) as well as several other elective courses rely on the material covered in GN 411 (Principles of Genetics) or a comparable course from another university as a prerequisite.
Students who plan to pursue a Ph.D. in a field related to biology are strongly encouraged to enroll in Molecular Genetics (GN 701).
