NCSU Statistics Graduate Handbook
This handbook is intended to provide up-to-date information regarding the course work, schedule of required documents, financial aid, and faculty. Changes are sometimes made in the graduate programs and these changes are announced through the departmental communication channels. In addition to reading this document, all graduate students should refer to the Graduate Catalog which contains the official policy of the university and the Graduate School. Any conflict in policy between this document and the Graduate School Catalog will be resolved in favor of the latter. The Department of Statistics offers programs of study leading to various degrees in statistics. The degrees include:
- Master of Statistics Degrees
- Master of Statistics (no concentration)
- Master of Statistics with concentration in Biomedical Statistics
- Master of Statistics with concentration in Environmental Statistics
- Master of Statistics with concentration in Mathematical Statistics
- Master of Statistics with concentration in Statistical Genetics
- Master of Science
- Master of Statistics-Co-Major
- Doctor of Philosophy
- Doctor of Philosophy-Co-Major
Additionally, statistics provides support to interdisciplinary degrees in
- Bioinformatics
- Biomathematics
- Operations Research
- Financial Mathematics
