All full-time graduate students, not just students receiving financial support, may apply for a six-week leave from academic duties and responsibilities. To be eligible for parental leave, students must have been full-time graduate students for at least one academic year (two academic semesters) at the time parental leave is taken. Eligible graduate students must submit a written request and appropriate supporting documentation for parental leave no later than ten (10) weeks prior to the anticipated beginning of parental leave.
