Learning Tips

Try to show up in all the lectures. In case of absence, you should consult the course web site or your classmates to see what material you may have missed.
Do the reading assignments and preview for each lecture.
Make good notes. All the concepts, calculations and examples will be clearly written on the blackboard. Important material will be emphasized and announced in class.
Finish homework in time. If you run into problems, bring them up to me or the TA as soon as you can.
Discuss with the classmates. It is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to work together on homework assignments. However simply copying answers from someone else is not allowed.
Ask questions either in class when there is something you do not understand in a lecture, or out of class if you have problems about the homework. Your question may also be others’. No question is too elementary, and all deserve to be answered.
