Dec. 15 1-4 p.m. , 2213 GA Homework: I will incorporate SAS computing assignments and class examples. Our second class meeting will show some examples of computing available to you. We will be using the SAS system. I encourage you to learn as much as possible about computing routines for the calculations done in the course. The homeworks will count 15% of your grade. Please feel free to discuss homework and prepare for tests with a study group. I strongly encourage you to take this "group" approach. However, each person should construct his/her own computer programs and summaries of the output. It is NOT acceptable to turn in a copy of someone else's computer output or to run a program constructed by a fellow student. TESTS: We will have three tests, a number of homework assignments, and a final exam. The final exam will be comprehensive. For each test, you can bring one standard sheet of paper with anything you want written on it (both sides). For the final exam you can bring up to three sheets if you like. Other than that, the tests will be closed book and notes. Your grade will be calculated on this basis: Test 1 20%, Test 2 20%, Test 3 20%, Final 25 %, Homework 15 %.
