**** BE SURE TO WORK ON OLD QUIZZES !!! ******
I have broken up the course material into what I call "labs". Within each "lab" page on the web there are several
homework assignments as well as demos etc. For each assignment I will announce which of the homeworks within
which lab is to be done. We have two meetings each week in SICL (Statistics Instruction and Computing Lab) room,
room 100 G on the ground floor of Harrelson. The first meeting is Tuesday July 3.
- The seventh assignment will be discussed in lab on Tuesday July 24 and collected on
Friday July 27 (just hand it in before the quiz). It is homework 2 from Lab 9 (note that
we are skipping some labs). I am giving you most of the graphics code - in addition to
just running it, it is up to you how much you want to learn from it. The data concern
a study on a marsh plant done by a former NCSU grad student. NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE
ACCEPTED AFTER FRIDAY JULY 27.
- The last "assignment" will not be graded. It is a split plot (a kind of mixed model
that is very prevalent in experimental work) done in Prof. Trudy McKay's lab here at
NCSU. It is lab 12, homework 2. I request that you give it a try before lab Tuesday
July 31 at which time it will be discussed (not collected).
