                Access the data on used Honda cars that we used in our lab 
                demonstration. 
                               /ncsu/st301_info/cars.sas 
                Using PROC SORT; BY PRICE; list the data in ascending order of 
                price.  Use    
                    PROC SORT; BY MODEL; 
                    PROC UNIVARIATE PLOT; BY MODEL; VAR PRICE;
                to get separate stem and leaf and box plots for each car model.  
                Hand in the SAS printout.  List the mean, median, and 
                interquartile range for each car model.  

                Also work exercises 27, 28  (pg. 61), 30, 36, and 39 (pg. 
                65-67) from Koopmans' book. Some of the datasets are 
                available in the file
                       /ncsu/st301_info/hw3.sas
                You are welcome to use SAS to help work these if you like.


                
                Reading 
                Finish reading Chapter 2 and begin Chapter 3.  Be sure to take 
                a look at the Chapter 2 quiz on page 64.  Chapter 3 
                emphasizes comparisons of datasets using side-by-side box plots 
                and/or bar charts such as we are doing in SAS for the various 
                types of Hondas.

                               

                REMINDER - Test 1 on Chapters 1 and 2 and our intro to SAS will 
                be held on Sept. 27.
